OUR PROCESS
To help keep costs down, we kindly ask our clients to degrease the surfaces to be painted using sugar soap. We then use a specialty cleaner to remove any chemical residue. Next, we carefully mask off all surfaces that need protection, including the ceiling, benchtop, floor, and appliances, and isolate the area to contain any dust. We then take the doors and drawers off to be painted in our specialty spray booth. A door off spray like this helps achieve the best possible finish. Next we apply an adhesion primer to ensure the paint adheres perfectly to the surface. Multiple coats of Resene Waterborne enamel are then applied, available in low, satin, semi, and gloss sheens, with sanding between coats. This process results in a beautiful, fine finish.
1
You empty everything out of you kitchen cabinets, drawers, shelves - even that old container on the top shelf you haven’t touched in years!

2
You clean your kitchen with sugar soap the day before we arrive. Don’t forget to get those hard to reach places
3
We arrive, and begin to mask off the kitchen area and cover the rest of your house to ensure we only paint the kitchen! This part is what takes us the longest, as its very important we seal off all areas we dont want paint to get to. We use masking tape and specially designed plastic sheets to ensure everything is covered.

4
We prepare the surfaces with a special cleaning agent to get them ready for paint
5
We then take the doors and drawers off to be painted in our specialty spray booth. A door off spray like this helps achieve the best possible finish
6
We then use an adhesion primer and a stain blocker (if required) on the surface. This gives our top coat the best possible surface to stick to

7
We then apply multiple coats of Resene Waterbourne enamel in your chosen colour. Sanding between coats
8
Once we are happy with the finish, we will put the kitchen back together, clean up and pack down

9
All done! Don’t use your kitchen for 24 hours while the paint hardens, then you’re good to go! Ensuring you are gentle with the painted surfaces for the first week, as the paint is still curing
